Any canik owners here?

Ive had 3 or 4 of the tp9sa models over the last few years.. always loved the guns but it wasnt until today that i really learned how much I like the pistol. Or love, I should say.

Never been overly great with pistols, or really cared to shoot them much, I much prefer my bolt guns, but my savage LRP has bored me of anything that isnt 500+ yard shots.. I was shooting minute man munitions and wolf steel today (couldnt tell a difference in accuracy, or function) and at 47-50 feet, smacking 3" steel plates within 2 rounds, everytime. My friend was doing the same with his FN, but it's also double the price.

I havent shot a canik in a while and just recently acquired this one, but man... I LIKE IT! So much in fact, Im debating selling my FDE Sig P320 to buy another.

Any of you guys like your caniks a little much for a $300 gun?

Im a 1911/2011 die hard. I have a tp9sfx The canik has a dang good trigger for a plastic gun. Shoots very well, accurate and fits my hand decent.

I would recommend one

Thats the one Im looking at. Wouldnt want to trade for a sig 320 would ya :)

I picked up a Canik TP9SF from a member (VP9C) on here at a really good price last fall or so. Wanted something a tad inexpensive to use as a truck gun and all I cared about was that it went bang when I pulled the trigger and that it shot straight.
It has taken me by surprise how much I enjoy shooting the gun. As Mike stated, the trigger is very good and the more I shoot it the more I like it. on range days I seem to find myself taking it out of the car more and more. It has become my second favorite handgun to shoot. Still like my G-19 a tad better but I think it has passed my XDM since it fits my hand a little better.

I can't speak about their tupperware, but I just sold a C100...think clone of CZ 75B compact with safety. I'm personally partial to metal framed da/sa guns.
Loved that thing. Built well, tough, reliable, accurate. What more do you need?
I almost regret selling it...but dont only because a buddy needed an inexpensive truck gun to travel with for his work.
I will probably have another in the future.

Canik has the 'inexpensive but not cheap' market cornered...

I'm a VP9 lover and I think that this is a very good approximation of the VP9.

For the price it is VERY solid. It is one of the best plastic strikers out there. I like VP9 and PPQ better, but this gives just about everything else a run for their money.

Cost/value ratio is very good!

I have had my TP9SF for a month now. The trigger is better than anything else I own, and you just have to like 18 + 1. as far as accuracy goes, it's more accurate than I'll ever be. Basically same hole at 7 yards. It's a lot of gun at its price point. I just love it.

Actually, Iā€™ve been thinking about selling one of my Glock 19ā€™s to fund a TP9sf.

I've got two Canik's and am going to get a 3rd (TP9SFX). Love them. Sold my M&Ps, just down to glocks and TP9s now- and if I wasn't so invested in glock mags, would have just TP9s.

I bought an SFX. Really like it and believe it to be an exceptional value. However the recoil spring is very heavy. I've got to run really heavy bullets through it. Which is okay because I intended to reload for it anyway. That said, if you try to run factory 115s through it you're gonna have issues. Or replace the spring.

Incredible bargains. I like the ones Iā€™ve tried.

I want one to try carry optics.

That was why I purchased one. Put a Leupold Delta Point 2.5 moa on it.

If I had some spare cash I would have jumped on @hlpressley ā€™s deal. All in for six Bills is hard to beat!

I have more than that in my Limited mags alone I think!

Best shooting polymer pistol Iā€™ve ever shot. I was just too invested in the other platform to make the switch. Plus, I have a few others already setup for CO and it was too large to carry.

Of all the handguns I own I leep going back to my Canik for fun shoots. Its also the second level area home defense pistol along with the AR drum magazine pistol.

I'm a bit late to this thread but the caniks are probably the best bang for the $. I own 2 the TP9SA and the TP9DA. No failures out of either. Close to 4k rounds through the SA and less than 1k through the DA model. The mag release reversal is a major pain. I took mine out to do a thorough cleaning and it took around 4hrs of fighting to get that crazy spring back in
