Getting ready to start a pistol build and I want to keep it kinda plain/simple. Going with a standard A2 sight with MOE handguards and a SB3 brace. Not sure if I want a rear sight and maybe a dot or just do a carry handle. I don't see this a lot and I'm wondering is there some reason I shouldn't do this. Comments/suggestions?

I have a carry handle/sight setup on a 10.5" pistol. For what I built it for this is a perfect setup. I can ring a 10"x10" gong at 200yds, well beyond the perceived use distance (0-50yds).

Plus I don't have to worry about batteries, turning something on, etc.

Next question is where do I find one without breaking the bank? PSA had one for about $60 but of course they're out of stock currently. Everywhere else I'm seeing them for twice that.

MI or Aero make them for about $80

While they aren’t actual optics, if it’s your ONLY sighting option, I’d pop for a quality one. I’d be a little skeptical of the $19.99 cheapo

Of course the Aero is backordered also. I guess that's the price range I'm looking for. It doesn't have to be the absolute cheapest thing out there but was trying to keep it below $100.

Looks pretty slick! Is that a flaming pig muzzle device? (Or whatever they are called)

Yeah barrel bling lol. It sends the sound more out in front of me. With this being a truck gun I may not always have ear protection and this just helps a little (to me).

Not a pistol but my select fire FOB runner. Have no issue hitting out to 200m with this when I extend the stock. Going to do a tax stamp for a SBR on one of my PSA M4A1 lowers. Totally enjoy the lightweight and compactness of this gun. Was running a folding rear BUIS on it but would have to lift it to employ. Here sights are always ready to use.
