Anyone else given any thought to shooting Carry Optics? Seems with the new 140mm magazine rules it would be a fun division to shoot. I considered Production or Single Stack but remembered that reloading isn't fun. Think I may give it a whirl as a secondary division when I don't feel like loading up the Limited gun.

The thought crossed my mind. For me I would just need an optic and CORE slide for my M&P.

That's essentially what I have. M&P 5" Pro that's been milled for a Deltapoint Pro. It was my very first Production gun and wasn't getting used for anything else since I have two other 5" Pros and a Shadow for Production.

Lots of guys over on Enos using those or something similar with no issues. Some of the best CO shooters that I have seen run the Burris FF. Rob Jesse comes to mind.
Be a bunch cheaper then buying a new slide.

I've decided to shoot CO the rest of this year as I build an open gun. So I bought a new top end for my stock II and a jp sight. I'm having a hard time changing my focus from target back to sights quickly and just end up running target focus when I really need to be using sight focus. This problem has really gotten worse in the past year, even though my vision has not changed at all. So, I'm gonna shoot with a dot for a while to see how I like it.

I thought you just built up a Glock for this and decided not to shoot it and then sold it?

Or was that for open?

Was actually considering sticking a SP dovetail mount and dot on my CZ75.
I think carry optics sounds fun especially with big mags. Redneck open!

If I ever decide to get serious about it I will be putting a dot on my SP-01 Shadow. That would make for a pretty cool CO gun.

That's why I'd buy a cheap pos optic!
Is there a good one?
Got a Redfield Accelerator for about $100, worked fine on the M92 I bought it for, put it on a G17 and one the dot is on the small side, could deal with that, but two the pos changes settings in recoil. Dim and 2.5 MOA is bad. Damn sweet when I can see it though. I burned my fun money, so the long wait begins again to upgrade. Should probably contact Redfield.

Anyone have experience with the Vortex Venom on their CO gun?
Lots of guys on the Enos forum use them on various platforms. They seem to like them and you simply can't go wrong with their customer service and warranty. However, the Deltapoint Pro is optimal in my opinion. The glass on the DPP is like an IMAX screen compared to the others. I'm admittedly a little biased though.

I do like the big viewing area of the Deltapoint Pro. I'm probably going to start off with a dovetail mount and see how I like it before I commit. Weren't you selling one awhile back?

IMG_0801.JPG IMG_0800.JPG Has anyone tried the shield or a jpoint? With their low plate you can still use the factory iron sights with a glock. It looks promising. I don't know how rugged they are but will be running mine hard with about 12,000 rds in a couple of months.

I can only speak on demand but in the last 2 months I've sold 31 Leupold Deltapoint Pro. I can only assume that the majority of them were for Carry Optic guns. 30 of them were 2.5 MOA and only 1 was a 7.5 MOA. The guy that bought the one 7.5 had no idea what he was doing based on the questions that he asked. With that said, I would say the 2.5 is 30 times more popular than the 7.5. Take that for what it's worth.

Interesting stat.

I found 2.5 small. I would suggest looking through a few prior to purchasing and shooting them if possible. 6 MOA only subtends approximately what? 1.5" at 25yds which sure ain't big moving fast. And way more precise than me with a handgun.

I do like the DPP 7.5 reticle though, if it's crisp that point would be a super precise aiming point and body for speed.

I'd shoot a 16 moa if they made a jpoint with it. (Stupid CO weight limit.) The biggest I've shot was a 12 and I really liked it. I felt like losing the dot was dang near impossible and I'd only been holding the gun for ten minutes.

Well a 10% sale on top of the current offer with free shipping hit my tipping point at little earlier than planned on the Vortex Viper 6moa.
Hopefully it ships quick and I can get to my buddy's mill before too long.
