There used to be a great one in Raleigh till they had a sink hole in the parking lot and had to close the lot at the Raleigh Grande. They fixed the sink hole months later, but the "show" was uninvited to return.

What invariably happens is the merchants with lots big enough to host these events welcome the added traffic for 6 months to a year, then some ding dongs unfailingly can't seem to control themselves and the show gets ejected from the premises for future events. Happened at three different locations in Raleigh and Cary. Which is too bad because because they had a really great turnout of cars and spectators.

Wake Forest lists one on fourth Saturdays, Fuquay seems to have a fledgling one at the Ford dealership that just started, and shockingly, Morrisville lists one.

Anyone been to any of these?

I had the pleasure of meeting several of you on the forum who came out to the Raleigh Cars and Coffee a couple of years ago.

The last one I went to was years ago at Brier Creek. I'll probably attend the next one in Wake Forest since I just realized it's just shy of 4 miles from my house. I've had a few buddies go to it and it's decent not sure about the other two locations.

Brier Creek got shut down a couple of years ago, then it moved to the Raleigh Grande, which shut down, and that was that for Raleigh Cars and Coffee as far as I know in 2015. I think Wake Forest got cranked up shortly after, but I had sold my last Mustang and didn't want to drive all the way up there. I'm planning to take the new-to-me Mustang for the August event soon.

4th Saturdays

ADDRESS: 950 Gateway Commons Circle. Wake Forest, NC 27587.

DETAILS: Wake Forest Cars & Coffee takes place monthly on the 4th Saturday, year round from 8am - 11am. Located in Gateway Commons on Hwy 98 East, 3 miles east of Capitol Blvd. Huge lot with plenty of parking, but you must obey parking rules. Stop by and check out old school to exotic cars, motorcycles or whatever drops in. This is an active shopping center with food, bathrooms, coffee all in a family friendly welcoming atmosphere.

Got to hang out with @trcubed and @Stentor this morning. It was a great turn out of all kinds of cars. Perhaps we can get TR to post some of those pics when he gets a chance. I was too busy yakkin' to take pictures.

It was good to see you and @trcubed this morning. Agree that there was a wide range of cars there.

Still waiting on the video/audio of your Mustang in action.:)

I didn't think about it until I was headed home, but I didn't take a single picture of your Mustang, Ash.

No worries, I've posted them here. I actually have a better camera phone now than the last time I was doing the cars and coffee circuit a couple of years ago. I ll get some of the show up at Wake Forest the fourth Saturday of this month.

I may see you there.

You can't really tell from a cell phone picture, but the paint on that maroon RS is immaculate. It looks liquid and deep enough to swim in.
