Cars reportedly shot at on Highway 264 in Wilson County, police warn

I have an witnessed alibi!

Hmm... Your last match results? It'd work for me.

Hey, I was not trained to shoot vehicles from overpasses in the 1960s, no matter what Mr. Rate might have said! ;)

Hi powered pellet rifle? Like a Benjamin Bulldog?

I wonder how much he had to lead those cars in order to hit them with a pellet gun? No telling how many he missed.

I lived in Wilson for several years. There are some strange things that have happened around there.

Then:
Mom: What do you mean, you want him to have a pellet rifle for Christmas?
Dad: I think he's ready, he's been responsible lately.

Now:
Mom: I told you he wasn't ready.
Dad: Guess I'll be selling the truck to pay legal bills and repairs on twenty cars.

Mom: Do not let them catch you doing that again. (She would not tell him not to do it again but rather not to get caught doing it.)

The problem with pellet rifles is that they are silent, and can not be seen on X-ray machines. Modern airguns are more powerful than AK-15’s. Although better for the environment, they are unregistered and have collapsible stocks. Anybody can make one with a tube and a can of hairspray. Plans for exploding pellets are all over the internet. Because the pellets don’t need powder and a case, you can fit 5000 in at a time. Most are fully semi-automatic, with the ability to spray pellets at a rate of 50 magazine clips per second. The wounds doctors are seeing are worse than being burned to death by a thermite grenade. Something really needs to be done.

What kind of monster just sets their kid loose with a weapon like that?

You can have exploding bullets if you have a 22 Caliber air rifle and shoot large rifle or large pistol primers out of it. They are not very accurate but do make a nice pop if they hit a very solid object.
