Add the casting mistakes you believe wilare so obvious, the casting director should get an eye/psychiatric exam.

My entry is from Black Mass. For anyone from MA who saw Black Mass, this casting screw up jumps right out.
This picture is of the co-stars of Sherlock. One was cast as Billy Bulger. The other is the one that casting director should have said "OMG He could be the Corrupt Midget's brother."
And Whitey is taller than Billy. (news flash, the family hated the movie)
Cumberbun got the role. But Martin should have been in that role. Billy Bulger is actually shorter than Martin.
The casting director must have been a love struck woman or a gay man.

I got to say, I dont see what youre talking about.
Him being taller or shorter really made no difference, in my opinion. I dont remember the guy even being in the movie all that much. Seemed to focus more on Depp/Whitey, and the young thug dude who got in a lot of fights. And the FBI agent.

Small factual details like who was taller makes no difference to me.

My contribution - Tom Cruise in Valkyrie. He's, seriously, the only one in the movie with an American accent. Just feels so out of place.

The first one that comes to mind is actually a combination of the two above. Tom Cruise and height.

TC being cast as Jack Reacher is one of the worst. Reacher's entire character is based on being a no-nonsense 6'5" & 250lb menacing presence. Often uses his height to allow for a vicious first strike of a headbutt to the nose.

None of that fits TC.

Speaking on T C as Reacher, I really balked at this too. There was even the part in the first movie about the force it took to kill the girl when they tried to frame Reacher that was left in from the book.

I still have to say I didn't hate the movies. Cruises Reacher still was quick to using elbow strikes just like the literary one too.
