Carolina Firearm Coatings is on the west side of Shelby off of 74. I've never used the guys before but I see their shop when I head that way.

Yep, I know exactly where they are. They are an option, but Id rather support a forum members business/side work first, if I can.

There is a new business in Wake Forest (Custom Caliber Arms) that does Cerakote.
They have an 07 FFL and 2 experienced coaters with prior experience. They will also soon offer Laser Engraving and other finishes for firearms.
I am the official photographer for this company and have an in house studio in their 5K sqft facility... unpaid volunteer who takes photos in exchange for free cerakoting. :)

New Elite Series (Jungle) and H Series Graphite Black
I photographed this gun that belongs to a personal friend..

Thanks for the plug..CZfool68 :)

In another post I mentioned I build a lot of rifles for my wife and she loves the "Gun Candy" coatings...This is "Kraken" over Kel-Tec Navy Blue..

Bud at Carolina coating.
Is that the one off Glenwood, like Angus Dr or something like that? If so, I've read about them but have not talked to them. It's right down the road from work, and I may call then to see if they can do something there.

Just wanted to keep it in the CFF community first.

Is this also known as The Outdoor Sportsman?

Anyone know what price range it would be? I have a quote of about $200, that's upper, lower, and handguard 7 inch. It is an out-of-stock color so there would be some shipping and handling to get the color, which is included in that price.

EDIT- went for it. I'm going to see if he can order color and drop off parts when I can.

They're not far! Thanks for passing the shop name along. I've been looking to have some work done and all the coaters are too far. I may have to stop in one day.

Thanks again for sharing @TJ45 .

I know this is an older thread , but I wanted to let everyone know that we are now doing cerakote .
Bud is doing the cerakote work here, so you should get the same quality that he has always provided.

Yeah I really want to get a stainless slide coated, or at least refinished to matte or satin.
Where is this now? Can I make a future appointment, drop a slide off at open and pick it up before close?

Bringing back an old thread. Any members have a cerakote business in WNC?

Or anyone who has used Carolina Firearm Coatings in Shelby and can provide a review?

I have used them several times.

I have some specific surfaces on firearms parts I do not want coated with Cerakote.
I make CFC aware of those places and they mask or plug those areas. They have delivered exactly what I ask for every time. They are top notch.

Good to hear! Their prices seem fair as well. Thank you.
