Alright guys here it is. Let's see how it goes. I figured we would keep it simple and easy for our first challenge just to see how it goes. I'm sure we will all learn something and can improve as we go. Some of this was copied from RFC as they seemed to have perfected it over there. No reason to try to reinvent the wheel.
Target Guidelines: You will fire 1 shot per bullseye at each of the 10 bullseyes per page. The maximum score per page is 100 points and 10X’s. Included among the 10 bullseyes are 2 “Sighter Targets” to the left of the page. They are included to help you sight your rifle. Use them if you’d like to ensure your optics are sighted correctly.
This challenge will use "Best Edge” scoring. Meaning, if you simply hit the line of the next higher score, you will receive the higher score.
In order to obtain an “X” you must simply hit the “X.” No need to obliterate it…simply nicking the inner dot will do.
In the event of a tie, we're going to use the hightest number of X's as the first tie breaker.
The second tie breaker will be the greater number of 10's, followed in third by the greater number of 9's, etc., etc.
The link to download the target is below. Please let me know if you have any trouble with the link.
The title of this month's target is CAT100. You may use either the black or red version.
This is the “Black” version.

Remember, your best results scoring a target will come from using a heavier paper. Most like to use a 60+ pound paper available from virtually anywhere....Meijer's, Staples, Walmart, etc. When you print the target be sure to set it print "Actual size" and 100 percent which should give you the correct size target.
Please utilize these measurements to ensure your target has printed correctly:
1. 0.10 inch spacing on the scoring line intervals.
2. Vertical is 3 inches, horizontal is 1.1 inches
3. Outer border lines of entire target are 7.5x10 inches
All targets, again, there are 10 per page, will require 1-shot per bullseye. Shoot as many pages as you would like and post your very best. Only your best page and highest combined total will be posted. Only one entry per contestant.
Supporting The Rifle/Rests: The rifle can be supported front and rear; however no one-piece or vice-type rests are allowed. Bipods/rear bags, mechanical rests (front and/or rear) may also be used either from the bench or prone position….shooter’s choice.
Calibers can include any 17 or 22 caliber rimfire in any class. There are no restrictions on bullet type. You may use match ammo, HV, HP or whatever it is with which you typically shoot.
All eligible targets must be shot outdoors! Counting for the wind is part of the challenge.
Deadline is midnight June 30th
Remember to include the necessary information when posting your target:
1. Shooter’s CFF screen name.
2. Rifle description – Make/Model
3. Ammunition used
4. Date of target
5. Pic of rifle as it was shot (optional but we all like pics)
Go shoot!
