Don’t get too excited...

I started conversations many months ago with a fairly well-respected company about manufacturing a batch of AR lowers with a CFF logo and CFF-#### serial numbers. It was a long a drawn out discussion over 6+ months. We finally made it to the point I passed them along to Butter to discuss it further.

They recently a greed to do it, but with one major drawback. Minimum order is 500 lowers. It would be ~$20,000 up front to get started, which obviously ain’t happening from CFF funds.

So the question is, how many people would prepay $50 for a CFF marked lower, knowing it might take a couple months to get them. Please vote in the poll above with the number you’d considering buying so we can see if it’s something to even consider moving forward with.

Going to run the poll for 2 weeks due to the busy holiday season. You can vote once, and are allowed to change your vote.

(If you’d consider >10...please vote 10 and either post or PM me the number)

I'd be down for a couple. That would be very cool!

I will prepay for 3 (maybe 4) if I can get them sequentially numbered... and pay after the holiday bills clear!

I would assume since they’re our CFF prefix that they’d be CFF-001 through CFF-500 (or 0001-0500), or something similar. Sequential shouldn’t be an issue.

We’re at 40 already, which is about 10% of what I’d think we want to even attempt to proceed.

If be good for two at least. I'd love to figure out an FFL who could cut a deal on these.

Is that $50 a deposit against the total per unit cost?

Or will each lower be $50

This. I’d be in for a couple at $50 each. Likely more.

But if that’s a deposit, then they wind up $200 each that will limit a commitment:/

Uh, no matter my money situation I am in for 2. This would be awesome!

Whys this in not gun related? might get more attention in the firearms subsection?
Maybe I’ll move it around every couple days. It’ll be like “post on a shelf”...you’ll never know where it’ll be. :D

I’d be down for 1.

Wouldn’t a forum friendly FFL ordering blank lowers from Aero/PSA and then having another vendor engrave them be an option? May be able to get it done with less of a commitment, and keep the money flow local.

I think that plan would definitely increase the cost per unit. You’d also miss out on a custom model name and/or serial number prefix. But it would be an option if we wanted a smaller quantity.

...but without specifically spelling it out, these would be manufactured in the Palmetto State.

Just changed my number to 4...

Well in that case, put me down for a whole Armory....

I'm in for 2 sequential!
