Chatham County: Pittsboro: Gun Control Rally: Wednesday 14, Aug.

here were 4 loser, aging hippies holding up a Black Lives Matter banner. They were all white.
I have seen several articles on the subject of how the majority of these librul SJW types protesting for the "minorities" are white and that the folks that they're trying to claim they are in support of often times don't share the values the SJW claim to represent. Ironic, isn't it.

Then, next week, we have a pro gun rally on the exact same spot. But, I guarantee you, the young anti gun (antifa wanna bes) will show up and start trouble... Thereby proving that the left is the side that can't keep themselves from using violence at every rally...

"Violence erupts at pro-gun rally"
"Police clash with protestors at pro-gun demonstration"

It's been "proven" over and over, to no avail.

eta Sorry, didnt' see I was responding to an old post

I just drove past the court house in Pittsboro. Traffic was backed up in all 4 directions as I neared the traffic circle. As I waited my turn to go, I looked to my left and saw a crowd of 6 foot tall dudes wearing makeup and dresses. They were all holding rainbow flags and lgbtq signs.

When I got to the circle, I saw one of my friends (a sheriff's deputy) standing security watch and I hollered at him, "What are they protesting today? " as I drove past. He smiled and shook his head...

Then I turned south and found about 100 confederates across the street from the middle school. On the other side of the road was at least 100 people wearing black clothes, some masks, holding BLM and ANTIFA signs.

It's like 4 different groups all protesting at the same time... The gays, the confederates, antifa, and a bunch of old white hippies with hoolahoops that are just "anti hate".... I can empathize with all 4 groups. They all deserve equal rights. Just go away and stop being an eyesore in my town.

I'll be glad when all of this goes away. All of these people make our town look bad.

And, I'll add... Three of the groups were perfectly chill, just hanging out.

The Antifa group was pushing into the road, cursing, flipping the bird to cars trying to drive by, just being a bunch of loud buttholes...

If violence were to erupt, I guarantee you it would be coming from them.

Dang... Thanks for posting that link. I just watched it.

There is a large African American lady in the street taunting the white lady in the Navy sweater. She is the same person who smeared blood and red paint on silent sam. She also led the group that tore it down.

I just watched a video about her last night. They said she's a student at Chapel Hill working on a doctorate in Chinese History.

1. WTH kind of job do you get with a PhD in Chinese History?
2. If she really studied Chinese History, why would she be trying to turn the US into a communist country?
3. I wonder if she's for China or Hong Kong... Probably China...

Maya Little is her name. She looks sweet in this video...

Now watch her in Pittsboro, trying to start a riot that @BurnedOutGeek posted above...

It's also so very hypocritical for Maya Little, a self proclaimed feminist, to belittle another woman in an attempt to goad her into a fight by using derogatory titles like "sweetie", "baby", and "go get your boyfriend".

They aren’t going away until they get their way or they get forced to go away. That’s how it works with commies.

I hunt four miles down that road. Glad I didn't go today.

In a few years, they are going to rename it South Carrboro. Except that Carrboro is going to get renamed because Julian S. Carr was the Confederate that gave the keynote speech at the dedication of Silent Sam. (Hahaha, how about that, Ms. Little).

I'm sure that the citizens of Pittsboro and nearby Chatham County realize that their world is about to change forever. When that whole Chatham Park neighborhood is occupied by people who "ain't from around here", it won't be long before every elected office in Pittsboro is occupied by somebody who's been in the area for less than a year.

Four of the five Chatham County Commissioners are Democrats, and the only Republican just resigned. That's why they voted to give the Daughters of the Confederacy about 60 days to take it away. The Sheriff is a Democrat that ran unopposed, although he is a native.

Over the past five years, I've spent a lot of time hunting off Chatham Church Road, and I really like that town and all of the people I've met there. I just retired, and I want to get out of the big city but still be reasonably close, like thirty miles out, for when I want to go into town. A couple of years ago, I could have moved there, but not now. Paradise Lost.

Maybe Randolph County. Or Moore. Last time I was down there, it looked like most cars had either a Trump sticker or something about guns.

Looking for a place away from lunacy is getting tougher and tougher. Wonder what happens when there is no place left for the sane to flee?

3 years ago, I moved my family 2500 miles to Pittsboro, from California. I sold a house, bought a house and land, and moved all of our possessions for ONE REASON; to escape gun control laws...

I thought this was going to be our forever home.

I never would have thought that North Carolina was going to follow California so quickly. I've probably got 10 years, tops, to figure out where to move next...

People don’t bat an eye when I walk up the hill here in W. Jefferson with my HK on an OWB holster. If you can find work the mountains are still free. And purty.

My wife and I work from home. If we can find a place in the mountains with high speed internet we might head that way...

NC has historically been Democrat. Democrats controlled the state House for 113 years, the Senate for all but about four of those, and we had one R Governor since Reconstruction. Then in came Barak H. Obama, and he cost the Democrats over a thousand seats combined in the 50 state legislatures. In 2010, R's took control of the NC House and Senate. As long as he was in there, NC voted for Republicans. Thanks mostly to GRNC, we've had three incredibly awesome pro-gun bills since that have made huge differences for us gun guys. But with BHO gone, in 2018, we lost most of the majority in both houses. BHO was as good for the Republicans as he was for guns, but unfortunately, we may be heading back to our old ways.

The new Dems aren’t the old Dems. Too bad it takes people so long to figure that out. But the more the Dems keep flapping their jaws and blocking traffic for asinine reasons more people will open their eyes.

I was born and raised in Chatham, west of Pittsboro. All my family is still there, quite a few of them on the family farm. I inherited 50 acres of it. I moved about 20 years ago when I split with my first wife. I always had plans of going "back home" to retire. Every time I go back, or see $hit like this in the news, I just shake my head. WTF has happened to my home???

Why would y'all think this numbnuts has a phone number written on his arm? Apparently this kerfuffle was over by Horton.

Edit:
Also, who's the old dude, OC with the uncle Mike's holster, getting pushed around by the gender binary black clad piece of work?

Looks like about 4 on one. Old dude should have kept some space around himself. Looks like phone number boy is about to strike.

Wonder if the phone number is for the local ACLU commie lawyer if they get arrested?

What? You mean the Dixiecrats have always had a strong influence in NC?
This is obviously incorrect; The Democrats came “from up north”.

Poor tactics, non retention holster on a floppy web belt, hostiles within arms reach on all sides, and your arms pinned up. If he was OC’ing to intimidate I don’t think he succeeded. Miracle they weren’t dancing around with his pistol.
Totally agree. Just because you can OC without a permit doesn't mean you should. This guy needs some proper training before he gets that thing taken away from him.

Haha. Someone puts their hands on me we will only cease physical activity when one is loaded on a stretcher. Have good insurance.

No one has suggested destroying the monument, Commissioner Karen Howard said, but it should be moved to a cemetery, a memorial garden or another appropriate location.

Don’t yall believe that sh*t for one second. The same thing was said about the memorial that was removed from W-S, but I’ve yet to hear where it will be placed. Guarantee it’s probably sitting in a dark warehouse somewhere, along with Silent Sam and will never again see the light of day...same thing’ll happen to the Pittsboro memorial if it comes down.

I have a set of not so nice names for Crawford, Howard, and Hales that I won’t repeat here, but I wouldn’t trust anything coming out of that mouth.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the statue relocated to the veterans memorial park in Goldston, in a part of the county where the people would appreciate and honor it.

Given all the controversy that has surrounded that statue recently, I dont think it could be relocated to Goldston. All the anti statue people would just follow it to Goldston and given Goldstons past, it would just add fuel to the fire.

I was hoping that the VFW in Pittsboro would have offered a place for it on there front lawn.

I'm a member of the Pittsboro VFW. I won't speak for them, as I have not been to a meeting there in about 6 months...

But, I'd bet they won't take it because the VFW is centered around commemorating Foreign Wars, not the Civil War which was fought on US soil.

Also, I'm certain that these antifa kids would be happy to follow the statue 2 blocks from the courthouse to the VFW. They won't stop until the erase any part of history that they don't agree with.

Maybe a local American Legion would take it?

We have lived in Chatham County since 2005 and have really liked it, and we’ve thought about moving down towards Goldston at some point.
So I’m interested – what is the history?

Honestly, I sometime think the ironic part is that I am not a native born Southerner (though my mother was born in Texas so I guess it’s in my blood) but I take great pride in and respect the principles of the confederacy.

My ancestors came here from Europe after the War of Northern Aggression into an area that sat largely outside the war out ( and they were mostly Amish), but I believe I understand and agree with many of the principles they fought over. As a former friend, whom I lost contact with said, “if the war were to occur today, I’d be fighting for the Confederacy.” I to told him that, “ I’d be right there with you.”

I wasn’t born here. But I chose this area as my home. It is more home to me than the area I was born. I appreciate its heritage.

Nothing violent, Goldston was the home of one of the black schools during segregation.

As far as living in Goldston, it's a great place to live. Lots of good people here. Real small town feel. Very welcoming community.

I wanted it there as an affront to the commissioners that wanted it gone, way before this stupidity that has shown up in Pittsboro. Now that this has went full retard, no way would I want that at the VFW.

We have some property nearby in BC that I was able to trace back to the original land grant to Joe Goldston. We’re like the third family to own the property having bought it from the guy who bought it from the Burns family (Goldston descendants).

I couldn’t find much on the records of the house we bought in town past the people who built it 50 years ago, but it’s pretty safe to assume it has a short history list. Around town we’re referred to as the ones who bought Leroy’s house. I am also told that people were asking others we know about what sort of people we are. Small town. The rumor mill spreads. My wife mentions learning a lot of what’s going on and whose who from Lizzie (locals will know who I mean).
