Anyone have a recommendation for a good choose and cut Christmas Tree farm? We were going to Circle C in Boone for a few years, but their stock has dwindled. We tried Manes Tree Farm in Laurel Springs last two years, and their sock is also dwindling.

I don’t need the extra frills and tourist attractions. Just the experience of walking a mountainside among the trees is plenty fun for us. But I don’t want to spend hours deciding between Charlie Brown’s tree or Linus’ tree due to a thin selection.

My range is anything within 2.5 hours of Charlotte in the mountains. From 40 to 77 all the way out to the state line.

What fir! Tree Farm in Boone used to have a good selection. I haven't been in a year or so though.

We went there a lot (Christmas tree pun) but they closed a few years ago to let the trees grow. Need to check if they are open this year.

Christmas Corner on Pineola is another one.

Here's everything I know (so don't ask questions) There is a tree farm on Majolica Road (runs between Sherill's Ford road and Hiway 70) in Salisbury. They have Christmas Trees..... End.... Out...

Did that last year. Bought a normal 7' or so tree. It was dying in a few days. Went back to the tree guys and complained. They said take any tree on the lot. So I took a huge freaking tree. Gave them another $20 so I didn't feel like I was taking advantage of them. Got home and put it in the tree stand with some help. Got back from work the next day and it looked a little slanted. Was sitting at the table and saw it slowly start to fall. Ran and caught it. The beast broke my tree stand. Had to do emergnecy surgey, borrow a big stand from a neighbor and re-do the entire process. Big freaking mess.

Just bought a new, large and sturdy tree stand yesterday.

We used to go to Lil' Grandfather Mountain Christmas Tree Farm (www.lilgrand.com), located up near Laurel Springs. We'd get our tree and then stop off for a short hike at Stone Mountain State Park on the way home.
That’s my front runner right now. Just don’t want to go somewhere that is done to slim pickens. Otherwise, they look to be ok.

I did see a few that listed on their website that they’re closed due to low inventory.
