Church security discussion

Here’s another of this guys videos I thought y’all might like. I’ve been watching him for a while and like his ideas. Some may think he’s just another tacticool trainer and maybe he is but seems alright to me. He also does videos on historic figures that’s pretty cool.

So the recent events in the news have made me think about security at church. I have a friend who is on his churches security ministry. They have several people who are positioned in the sanctuary during the service and a couple who make rounds of the church grounds during the service. I was wondering if any of you have these types of ministries at your churches and if so how'd you go about starting them? Do you train regularly? is there a certain criteria that has to be met to be on the team?
We train many church security teams. A lot of churches are going to them!

@Wahoo95 has posted some great info in the past about how security detail is set up in his church.

Last week we had a higher ranking officer come and give us an active shooter class. It wasn't tactical, but was very helpful for the people that had never thought it through, like the ones watching the kiddos.
We know of @ 10% are carrying, there's 20+ of us on rotating security detail and pay a uniformed officer to be on site as well.

I stay away from all crowds as much as possible, including church.
Me three! (Besides, my faith does not require an edifice with a building fund.)
