Looks like a job for PB Blaster.

I can tell you, dirty Smith rimfires can be problematic. Amazing what a cleaning can do for them.

I just gave it a new loving home šŸ˜. Picked it up at a pawn shop. Some folks just need to give their firearms a little tlc. Even a truck gun needs some love. After all the clean up double action is great. Single action only fires 60% of the time. More work to get this in tip top shape.
 
ug. looking in revolvers always reminds me why i shoot semiauto pistols.
I've got one revolver that shoots in single action, but not double. I refuse to tear it apart and clean it.
 
Finally got this thing firing consistently. Turns out the firing pin retaining pin was slightly bent.
