Anyone ever done this? I think it is about to fail on our 2010 Patriot.
Horn blasts like a ghost is sitting inside. Sometimes a tap. Sometime a layon for 10+ seconds.
Not worth paying a few $100 for the dealer to do it. I did it on my YJ. Also pulled the steering wheel on the Patriot to install cruise control module.
Giving it to my son soon. Don't want sudden repairs happening.

Doubt its the clock spring itself. More likely the horn pad/airbag. Clock springs generally don’t let the horn work at all and will illuminate the airbag icon in the cluster

Perhaps a sticking horn relay or dirty ground wire connection(s).
