Picked this up today it’s all Aero precision except the bcg. It’s very tight I have to use a punch to knock out the rear take down pin. I also took out the bcg, buffer and spring and charging handle. Still have to force it closed. In the picture that’s just resting closed. I have to force it the rest of the way.

In many Aero lowers there is a tensioner that is under the rear takedown pin and can usually be accessed through the pistol grip. Try loosening that.
Tried that. Backed it all the way out. Still doing it. May call aero Monday see what they think

Paint a smooth layer of white lithium grease over all surfaces and close it just to the point where it binds. The witness marks in the grease will tell you where it's binding.

Stock trigger/hammer or 1 pc drop in unit? Is something hitting on the hammer?

Could try swapping to the other take down and pivot pins

Update from Aero precision via the chat on their website because they don’t answer the phone at all. So according to my tracking number they have had my gun for 3 weeks today. They told me they are still inspecting it. I was like it took me 10 minutes to figure that out. Crazy that it takes that long. I mean if you are over 3 weeks out on warranty work you might want to consider looking at your quality control a little bit harder. 😡😡

UPDATE

Last Tuesday I get an email saying they have to determine if it’s the upper or lower out of spec. Yep that’s it. I emailed them Friday asking what they found. No reply at all… is anybody listening.. sorry I like Phil Collins

So today I get on the webchat. Same typical run around. Their shop is out on the floor they will email you with an update. Wow really.

Really getting pissed.

Finally got an update and gun will be here on Monday. I actually found a lady that works for them on LinkedIn who is head of customer relations. I sent her a message on there and case number and I got this email the very next day. Finally.

Doesn’t a new receiver/serial number have to go to an FFL? Or is there a like-for-like exception to that?

They probably engraved the same serial number on the new receiver.

Well I got my gun delivered to the house today. But the stock was not on or in the box 😡, but I got the gun with a new bcg and buffer system. All I got with it was a letter saying they destroyed one lower and replaced it with another. I letter stating invoice and another one with the ffl information for Aero precision. IMG_5725.jpeg
