I dont use satellite TV, I dont use Bellsouth (that im aware of), and my internet was Time Warner once but now its Spectrum. But they probably use the same cables right?

So can I remove everything picture except the TWC box? What is the little connection between those two boxes and the meter? What would you fill the screw holes with when done?

Sorry... dumb millennial here.

If you’re not using those services, there is no need for their interface box on your house. The connection to your electric meter is a ground connection to help prevent damage by lightning strike. I would fill the holes with some sort of cement type stuff that you can likely get a tube of at a hardware store.

Disconnect first, then wait. See if any of your services are impacted. Then remove.
(my neighbor didn't he just ripped wires, not good, not good)

Fill in holes with silicone calking for cement. You might be able to get small tubes with the appropriate color.

That satellite dish can go for sure … and all it’s exterior wiring. I’d be very gentle on any hardware removal and repair the brick and mortar as best as possible to keep water and debris from gathering. I would check where the penetration goes in the crawl space and see what wiring crap may have been done … with 3 different services going in you never know who piggybacked on old cables and such. If you “clean up” the extra cabling, splitters and such you might even pick up a little better service from your current stuff (splitters can cause the signal strength to drop). As to the BellSouth … while it’s likely around 20 plus years old it doesn’t look as obtrusive … I’d probably leave it … for now.

If its not being used it doesn't need to stay. And like mentioned above you can get a siliconized cement in different colors to match the mortar you got. It will be found back in the tile area of hardware store

I removed dish network and Hughes net dishes and interface boxes from my house after i moved in, if they aren't in service and you're not paying for it, they are just eye sores.

Take proper precautions with removal and you'll be glad it's gone.

Yes, Spectrum is the former TWC.

Those phone and cable boxes, and the wires from them to the street, are part of the network of the provider, even if they aren’t in use. I expect that you can’t legally remove them. Not saying that anyone will care. The Dish can go.

So if I remove the bellsouth box and the crap running to it, it wont affect my internet, as long as I leave the TWC alone?

Could you tell me specifically what kind of tube cement would be best for outside use? Or just look for "outside use." Rather than bathroom caulk.

Somehow that white plastic tube, down at the ground (unpictured), has what appears to be fire damage?? Weird.

What he said.

Oops, missed that post. Thanks!

I did the same clean up last fall. Our house had connections for a land line, cable TV, internet and satellite TV with the dish still on the roof.

When we moved in 2 years ago, of course that took an entirely new cable for our internet connection.

Pretty good advice below.
