I place a order for 2 and put a stick for at least one H&R with USGI if at all possible. Well they sent me two!

Real only down side is the wood is kinda of rough on one and the lock up isn't as tight as I would like it. Took the steam clear and iron to it, which popped most of the dents out. My others are CMP wood so lock up is crazy tight.

The other H&R is great! The stock has the 3/8" DAS, proof mark and has rack numbers (always think they are cool) on it.

I'm still taking everything apart to see what it's made of and to clean, inspect.

I also picked up a IHC that is mostly correct other than the safety and stock. Which I've been wanting for a long time. This all came about when I saw on the local forums a member needed some boxes to ship rifles in. Happen my CMP rifles were coming in that day and he saw my post about me wanting a IHC.

I need an IHC at some point...

I've got to get another one! I miss the one I had.

I don’t, nor do I see firearms as collectibles. They are to be used and cared for so they can last generations of family. Except plastic crap that is a dime a dozen.

I didn't say I lay to bed every night and read them a bed time story. LOL They are a tool and treated as such. Point is, demand is more than supply, since production stop in 1958.

People all the time buy CMP rifle..few months later sale them for 1,100-1,200 happens on the CMP forums all the time as well.

That’s a lot of money

Some people say a SKS for more than $99 is highway robbery but would not flutter an eyebrow paying $3000+ for a Colt Python or $5000 for some 1911 made by Les Miserables or something like that. It is all about perceived value.

About the Garand for $700, how much is a 308-shooting AR, which you can buy any day of the week by hundreds of manufacturers?

Or gunbroker.

Nice line up.
I've been waiting for "acceptance" into the CMP forum for over 2 weeks to get a value on the 1 I want to sell...just under 2.5 million ser no.

I'll be bringing soap to the show this weekend so you can wash your mouth out. Disrespecting the king of gun manufacturers like that.

Next you are going to tell me. It puts the lotion on it's skin, it does what it's told or it gets the hose. haha.
