Co-witness for Glock 26/19 Gen5 for Holoson SCS?

I'm about to send my Glock 26/19 Gen5 slides to NC Engravers to mill a slot out for the Holosun SCS. Is it better to have the rear sight co-witness in front of the optic or leave it as is behind the optic? I want to use existing sights.

When adding the SCS/MOS cut to your slide, it will be placed at the rear of the slide removing the factory rear iron sight dovetail. If you would like to add a dovetail to the front of the optic, you must select “Dovetail” as “Yes” when processing the order
