Coin appraisal ??

So my grandfather has a rather large collection of coins. Most of them are in books some are loose. I'm looking for somewhere in the triad that can give him an approximate value on them. Any suggestions?

I've helped with a few members collections off here. I can give you a market value and condition appraisal and also give you a list of dealers that specialize in certain areas if the collection has some rarities.

If interested you can contact me through PM, I'm about a Hour ride from you. I can give a ballpark with good pictures or a more accurate appraisal in person.

I don't charge unless the collection is rather massive or consists of many rarities needing variety attribution.

Sounds like he was a album filler and would be pretty straight forward collection.

He did not charge me anything. I have gold coins that he appraised and he gave me a price that he will buy them for. The gold coins I have did not have a numismatic value, just the gold content. Crae did the leg work researching the coins and emailed me lot of references so I understand where he was coming from with his appraisal.

I had a few silver dollars that my grandfather had, and I ran them by Carolina coin on Stratford Road in Winston-Salem. That guy was very helpful. I was not trying to sell anything but he just gave me a rough estimate of what they were worth.
