Commie Rifle Pics Thread

SG ammo has red army standard 5.45 for $22.95/100. Gotta buy at least 300 to offset the shipping to make it cheaper than academy though.

The stuff from academy is good though.

Got this earlier this week from another friendly member but wasnt able to shoot it, but now that im finally back from Tank gunnery in Mississippi i cant wait to get it to the range. [emoji1783]

Sunday gunday. The clouds apparently kept most folks away, which is always a nice bonus. First shots through a new-to-me 1988 WASR 10/63. The Hogue is comfy, but will be replaced with a surplus Romy grip. To dong or not to dong? That remains a question, but I'm leaning towards "no" on this one.

2007 WASR underfolder (first year I believe they were imported). Everything is nice and straight, and the action is surprisingly smooth. Cheek welds are definitely easier on the straight-back Yugo UFs, but I do love me some Romy guns.

Next step is replacing the polymer handguard and grip with some crusty surplus wood.

Heck of a deal it, the mags and ammo.

Or Hanukkah, perhaps?

In keeping with the Borat theme...

Dude that is beautiful. Can't wait for a range report. I've been hunting around for another affordable kit for our resident AK reanimator to work his magic on.

Which beverage are you going to crack first with that slick bottle opener?

Is that an actual US Palm grip or some sort of knock off?
The "Bulgarian Brown" ones were impossible to find when they were still in business. How in the world did it end up there?
Don't know about the grip. Saw the gun last year and don't have access to it any more.

Don't remember if I posted this group of 7.62x39. I have yet to see a AK74 series in 5.45x39 here or in Iraq. These countries want to run that 7.62 M43 cartridge.
Far left are two Yugo M70
Next left two are Yugo/Serbian Zastava M92
Center fixed stock is a Romanian AKM
Two folders on right with milled receivers, again Polish
Far right is a dead lined Russian AKMS

Weird, you’d think there would be a few 5.45’s floating around out there. Maybe they ran out of ammo to feed them and became scrap.

@Combat Diver have you ever fired a GP? What's the trigger pull weight on one of those launchers?

No, what we had it at BAF in the arms room, think we had 4 HE grenades for it. Never could get to the range with it. Trigger wasn't like a M203s thinking it was more of a DA revolver weight ie 12 lbs.

ETA: We still have the GP dismounted (no longer have the rifle). Cohort is going to look in the ammo container tomorrow to see if we still have the RGs. Stay tuned.

I remember the riots. Old Plant of the Apes stock, no threaded barrel. But back in Kommieland when 30 rd mags were legal. I got stuck in Atlanta during a riot in the early 90s. Only had with me my Colt Officers model 1911 .45 with 3ea 7 rd mags. (6 rd mags modified to 7,+chamber) When you need ammo, you need lots of ammo!
