Hi everyone! Tomorrow I'm going to my first Durham Bulls baseball game. I can't find anything online about concealed carry in the stadium. Do they prohibit legal concealed carry? Do they have metal detectors at the gates?

Thank you!

Charlotte Knights sweep you with a wand. Unless you can carry in your hat or wear an ankle holster with pants, you’re not getting one into their games. I’d imagine Durham follows suit.

I haven’t been yet this season to see if they are posted, but the whole campus is owned by anti-gun Capital Broadcasting and the restaurants in ATC are posted as part of their lease.

I would be surprised if it is not posted/wand checked.

Last year I had to look for the sign, about 5x7" on the metal gate, will look again when I'm there Sunday night.

So none of these allowed at games?

That's in Durham. I believe that there is some kind of law that says you must submit willingly to a thug or face prosecution. God forbid, that you dis the thug.

Durham is not that bad YET. Just wait until the new sheriff and D.A. take office in November… Lord help us.

Heightened security policies established by the Durham Bulls will remain in effect throughout the 2018 season. We would like to remind fans that these enhanced security measures are for the fans' safety. We understand that this is an added inconvenience, however due to the nature of current world events, we feel these measures are necessary.

Prohibited Items

  • Outside food or drink, with the exception of a sealed, clear bottle of water not exceeding one quart.
  • Bags/purses in excess of 16" x 16" x 8"
  • Backpacks in excess of 16" x 16" x 8"
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Weapons/fireworks
  • Items that could be projectiles
  • Bullhorns/airhorns
  • Lasers
  • Coolers of any kind
  • Anything that can obstruct a fans view
  • Wrapped presents and/or gifts of any kind*
*Please note that if you have a planned party of any kind that includes gifts, we advise either wrapping the gift item at the DBAP after the item has been inspected or place the unboxed gift item in a gift bag. Our security staff will ask guests to open any wrapped items.

If any of the above items are discovered at our gates, our security staff members will ask that you return these items to your vehicle or be thrown away. Prohibited items will not be stored at the gates or guest services.

Thug lives matter, and they vote...for the new sheriff too.,

Update. I went to the game. Walked through the main gate. I could not see any posted signs and I was actually looking for them.

There were a couple guys looking through ladies' purses. But they weren't looking very hard and they were really in a hurry to shuffle people inside.

No metal detectors at all.
