The Concord, NC gun show will be this weekend, March 2-3. Both sides of the building will be open and have vendors in them again. We’ll be there, in the room on the right as you come in the main entrance. I know that room will be almost all gun, gun-related, and military surplus, with several vendors who will have antique guns, milsurps, and collectibles.

Concord has been shrinking and hit or miss the last couple years, but it is good to see the promoter trying to improve it now. I missed it last time, but the time before that was the best I’d seen it in a while. Hopefully this show continues the trend.

Who else is going?

Pretty good crowd today. Guy brought in a factory engraved Marlin 1893 in .38-55. Beautiful condition. I drooled and drooled, but he said he had been offered about twice what it was worth by a local gun shop. I told him to go take their money. Still awesome to have gotten to spare and hold.

Is this the show that's more to the collector side? I think it's like NC arms collectors association or something like that? There's one show up there I like going to that's mainly old stuff, and then another one that's they typical all new loads of cheap pistols and stuff.

This is not an NC Gun Collectors Association show. NCGCA used to partner on this show, but that was several years ago. This one is a typical commercial gun show, but there happens to be a decent amount of older guns here this go round.

@cubrock did you see any older Smith semi’s?

Just the ones you've already seen that I have. Didn't see any others.

You’re the reason I’m not coming to the show this weekend. I know if I see that 1911 again, I’ll buy it. ;)

I went this morning. Decent selection, not a ton of junk/non-gun stuff, but the best deals I saw were on PMAGs and $10 Mechanix gloves.

That guy sold a pile of stuff today. He had some great deals.

I absolutely love to see a gun show thrive. Ours in Murder Beach has been doing well. The Florence show, I heard, was awful. Murder beach was Big in the mid 80s and then went to hell and we went several years with NO show. Support them if you can. I am usually at somebody's table, if not I would be hard pressed to pay $8 to get in and $5 to park. As long as folks invite me I go and enjoy talking to all the folks you don't see at any other time.

I was bored, really bored, so I went. 30 mins later I realized that I wasn’t that bored and should have stayed home and loaded ammo. Who goes to these things? People that don’t have internet? Goodness that was awful...

You and me both, 45 min drive for me and really nothing to get excited about. Bought 8lbs of CFe223 just so I wouldn’t leave empty handed.
