Copper Casing??

I picked up a couple of XTreme 9mm casings at the range yesterday, and they are very similar to copper.
Is this most likely a unique tarnish or does some ammo manufacturers make copper casings?

I've seen those too. I toss em' but have often wondered what was up with the funky coloring.

Did you check to see if they were attracted to a magnet? Freedom Munitions is selling some ammo that are either brass or copper clad steel.

I've seen 9x18 and 7.62x39 come that way. It is copper clad steel. I have seen a few cases stamped 351 which is a Chinese factory

So does Sellior and Bellot, theirs reload fine, atleast once.

Guessing lubricity and corrosion resistance. Have seen many rusted Wolf cases, copper plated not so much, green yes, rusted rarely if ever.
