The wife and I both thought it was fantastic! Slow, sure, it's written that way. Even at his age he does better than most directors, producers, etc. Add the fact that he is putting out movies with modern day controversy (fake feelings controversy) and not getting totally destroyed in the media is baffling.
Told the wife that after Gran Torino and his age in this movie I swear he could be everything people hate (racist, sexist, etc) and totally get away with it as a curmudgeonly old man, you know, how it's supposed to be (it's just from their time)!
