It would be hard to come up with many cons for it.

The main cons I can think of, which are really reaching, is that they are heavy and the magazines aren't as cheap as some other offerings (Glock)...but that pretty much mitigates the recoil and the mags are basically inline with most other non-polymer framed firearms.

They are accurate, soft shooting, ergonomic, aesthetically pleasing, and a joy to shoot. If you are a 1911 shooter the weight wont really probably be noticed. Aftermarket support for accessories and stuff is decently robust, so finding holsters, mags, whatever isnt an issue.

75 and it’s variants are by far my favorite handgun out there. Imho if you want the best of the best a classic trigger setup with cajun parts and polish will get you the closest to the 1911 triggers you are used to. I personally feel that the switch to the omega trigger system was more cost driven than anything else. The omega triggers are much simpler, and easier to work on, once again imho the omega trigger system is not as robust as the classic 75 trigger system, and doesn’t clean up quite as nice.

My advice as a 1911 shooter also is don't buy it. I know nothing about the omega trigger but there is no love between me and my CZ75. I only shoot it with the Kadet .22 top end now.

What don’t you like about the 75 vs the 1911?

The trigger, mostly. I find the slide difficult to manipulate but that is more due to my RA, something that most shooters most likely don't have to contend with. It is funny that I can shoot my 1006 with its extremely long travel trigger no problem probably because even though it has a long pull it breaks cleanly at the discharge point. The CZ75 trigger seems to go on forever once it starts to engage until the hammer drops.

Lol compared to a 1911 it certainly does, you might look in to some Cajun upgrades to make you fall in love with the 75, the reach reduction kit will limit the double action travel some for you, or you could do a SA conversion, the one I did on my 97b has a couple mm of trigger travel to reset it is very nice.
