I'm getting interested in a CZ 97. Anyone have one I could shoot some time? I'd like to meet up at a range and try one out.

Soft shooter for sure, pretty good trigger out of the box, accurate as you need it, decent factory night sights. Lots to like about them.
Extra CZ branded mags are kinda expensive, but Mecgar mags for the Tanfolio Elite .45 fit. They are cheaper, but leave a very small gap between baseplate and mag well. Factory baseplates are ~$10 and would fill the gap, but that leaves you almost at the cost of factory mags. The gap doesnt affect anyrhing amd the grip is big enough it shouldnt pinch you. Just cosmetic.
Im a big CZ fan, but I just got around to a 97 last week. Shot it yesterday for the first time.
It's sweet. You will like it.

Really wish I was closer. You would definitely be welcome to shoot mine.
Good luck, brother.

I hadn't noticed.

Ooohh! I meant to tell ya... I bought a CZ t'other day! It's a 2003 CZ 83, kinda like the opposite of a 97.

Ooohhh...nice. I dont wanna derail his thread, but I do want to know which caliber and finish you got lol

You gave the OP everything he needs, so as long as we mention the CZ 97, there's no derailing, right?

My CZ 83 is in 9mm Browning (380 acp) with fully ambi controls and nickle finish. Only one hicap mag... t'other is a Cali mag.

So you bought a nickel plated sissy pistol?

We were talking about 45's man.

To be fair, we are talking about our beloved CZs...so even in .45 they are just slightly less sissy pistol...we just accept ourselves for what we are.
