Shot the P01 today. I think we put 50 rounds through it in 5 shot strings. While my girlfriend was shooting it, it double tapped. Thought it was strange and maybe just a coincidence. I then stepped up and it did the same thing to me from DA first shot. I believe hers was a DA shot as well.
Any ideas? I got the gun with the kit installed in it. Anything to look for? I have the stock springs to return it to factory which I think I will.

My question is who put the springs in? If CGW did it I'd be on the phone with them. If it was a private seller then I'd send it off tom CGW. But I don't mess with triggers myself. You may feel differently.

I would call CGW something is not right.

If you are certain that the lighter SA pull didn’t just surprise you? If so then I would swap the springs back out and see if it does it again, that is not normal. Also could give David at CGW a call to get his opinion, their customer service is excellent.

Good point. Depending on what package is in there you have a much shooter reset than factory.

Im a hold the trigger and feel the reset kinda guy, so def no double pull on my end. I didnt put them in, it was the original owner I believe. I swapped out the springs, super easy. Ill see if it does it when I go shoot again.

Oh I forgot to add that when I looked at it after hers did the double, the hammer was forward, flat on the firing pin but live round in the chamber and no primer strike.

Hammer follow. Your springs are jacked up.

Where did you get it. Ask the seller if he/she did the work or if CGW did it. If CGW did it they will make it right if Bubba did it get new springs for CGW install them and test it and pray that the previous owner did not mess with any of the sear & hammer surfaces.

This is a P01 right. Was the hammer on the firing pin or the hack cock notch which is where the decocker lowers the gun to? If it was on the firing pin I would not shoot this gun again until you square it away. If it fell all the way to the firing pin whatever is wrong is also over coming the half cock notch and firing pin block safety. I hope Bubba did not remove that. I would be calling the seller and I would be livid.

Thats the one.

I changed the springs back to stock. And no the firing pin was not on the half cock notch. Im going to call CGW asap when I get a chance. Till then it will be in the safe.

You mean the hammer was on the firing pin not the half cock notch. Something is wrong and it might be more than the springs.

Yes the hammer. Mistyped there.
If it was something with the hammer would it not show up when using the decocker?
I’ll look and see if I see anything out of the ordinary

One would think so...

Stab in the dark here...but the P01 you got is an Omega, right?
If so, take a look at the manual and see if the decocker was installed correctly. Ive personally never owned one or changed it over, so not sure whats involved, but I would look there, too.
Just simply to rule out one more variablw
