Ok this is the whole story. This can be added to the original one I tried to delete if anyone wants to move it.
Early this week I cleaned the CZ Rami, then got the slide stuck all the way back and it wouldn't budge. So as I do, I asked for help from "the guys" but almost immediately decided to try and deal with it myself, and tried to delete the thread.
I got some offers of help via video chat from @Jeppo but wanted to do it alone.....and I did eventually get that slide to go forward. "Yay," I told myself...I'm all good now!
But was I out of the woods? Of course not! Remember who we're dealing with here.
Solved one issue and gained another....I could not get the slide stop pin to go in. Even tried it with the slide off so I could look in from the top....no good. I had another offer of video help from @Jeppo but by then I knew I wouldn't be good company and would be cursing even more than usual, and why inflict that on such a nice man?
Anyway, I took the gun to Conway today, hoping to take @303hunter aside and ask him to watch me and see if he could tell what I was doing wrong. I figured he wouldn't mock me too much. lol. Ended up he got the pin in. Then @BatteryOaksBilly had a go and he got the pin in.
So there you go.....next time I clean the CZ, I'll be sure to make a rendezvous in FVille to get the slide stop pin put in......dang!!!
I did end up shooting my RIA very well and accurately on the old "Guatemalan Steak House" steel targets, all 10.....I think I got 4 shots on the Wiz, no idea on times, just trying for all the shots.
