    I think they were.about $1250 new. DW makes a great 1911.

I am glad someone here picked it up. @BowWow is correct MSRP was about $1250. They also did not make too many of them. People claimed 200-300.

I saw one of those at the gun show at a small table with about 20 guns. I saw it was a Dan Wesson and it had no name so I thought it was a possible fake. I am not sure about his asking price but it was like $1600.00. Congrats.

Arrived this afternoon. There was more of an idiot scratch than the pics showed, but that is okay. I bought this as a using gun to begin with. Much of the idiot scratch isn't all the way through the blue, so how much shows depends greatly on lighting angle. The one they used was the most flattering angle.

Trigger is excellent out of the box for a carry gun. If the weather behaves and the stars align, I might get to shoot it this evening. Range report then.

DW/CZ makes a fine 1911. A bud has a pair of the CZs from their first run of mil spec/GI 1911s. Amazing pistols. First one was so nice, he bought a 2nd to have a nice custom built.

Think he paid < $800 OTD for them at the Bragg PX. Hate I missed out n those.

Yeah they mentioned the scratch. You might be able to touch it up if it bothers you. Looking forward to hear a range report.

Yes, they mentioned it and showed pics, but their pic angle made it look much more minor than it is. I'm not going to worry about it. I've put an idiot scratch on a 1911 or two. Haven't done it in a long time, but doesn't mean I can't screw up again. LOL

BTW - thank you again for the heads up. This is a very nice 1911, especially for under a grand shipped.

Shot it today. One of, if not the most, accurate 1911s I've owned. Just an incredible pistol.

You can’t go wrong with a Dan Wesson. Why buy a gun and spend hundreds trying to improve it when it’s ready on arrival. That was great find.

Indeed. The boys shot it again this evening. Just a great 1911, all the way around. Everything you need and nothing you don't.

.....i am a tinkerer, i like to have a firearm a certain way to my likings......i can honestly say that a DW 1911 is one of the few handguns that are ready for me straight outta da box.
