Looking for my first dash cam. Figure it’s a good idea with my daily commute. What’s good under $100?

Sub’d for replies, this is of interest to me too. Would like to cover both front and rear of car.

I have a Rexing V1 currently. It is an OK basic camera. The wifi function is not good if you care about that. I have decided that my next one will be dual facing, so you should consider that up front.

There are a couple lengthy threads on here about dashcams. The consensus is that Rexing is the way to go.

I have two Roav C2’s which work very well

Functional night mode, wide angle lens, g sensor, loop recording. No issues with heat through S.C. summers

the only thing I did was buy several long FLAT usb cables so I could route it under my trim to hide it all very nicely

My son is getting a driver's license this week, so I wanted a dash cam for his car. I bought an AQP from Amazon in May. The video quality was good but it was very difficult to figure out how to maneuver through the menus and settings. Then it just quit working, wouldn't even turn on. I asked for a refund and they only gave me $171 out of $214 that I paid for it, said it was a "late return". Yea, but since when did a 1-year warranty mean I lose $50? No more AQP for me.

I got a Rexing from Best Buy and installed it two days ago. Much easier to work the menus and settings. Installation, even the rear facing camera was easy. However, I'm seeing a lot of glare in the video; you can see the reflection of the dash any time the car is facing the sun. I might try and put a cardboard shield around it.

I have the Aukey DR02 from Amazon. Can often be seen at less than $50. It recorded one accident and a close call and hasn't missed a beat so far in over 2 years.

I’ve been using a Nexar camera. Works well, auto connects and saves to the cloud. Also looks the least ridiculous of the ones I found. Got it for about $65 bucks I think.

I have 4 of the DDpai Mini 2 or Mini 3's and they have been pretty good. Only forward facing but I have been impressed with the video. Oldest is 2 years old and still going strong. Purchased from Amazon. I really like the have a wireless remote that comes with them. You can click the button and it takes a snapshot and records a video at that time. Much easier to go back and find things later.
