Only 125 days to go! Yeah I don't get out much.
All on this end are excited too. Geezer is going to be busy!!!
Even thought this is smack in the prime of my bow hunting season, I'm contemplating it. Got a camper and generator, all I need is a hall pass or the blessing of the Mrs (who may just come with).
Feel absolutely free to bring your wife. There will be plenty of backing and forthing to the Beach and Shopping. You are welcome here anytime.
There ain't no such thing as a free wife.
I rest my case.
"There ain't no such thing as a free wife."
I can attest to that several times over
Can't like this enough!!!
I won't know if I can make it until 2 weeks before.
And ain't that the TRUTH!!
That's ok , you can come with NO notice. Keep trying!
Putting it on the calendar. Might be home on leave again during that time.
Ride on over today and join us. They'll start coming in about 1 oc.
Wish I could but currently somewhere southeast of Kabul, Afghanistan right now.
OH CRAP!! I thought you were still here. Weren't you home recently?
If it weren't a 4 hour drive I'd be in. Maybe if I can get @eddie0225 to ride with me.
Come on, the more the better. Really, I hope all who want to be here can get here. I think we'll have a high old time.
Sir if your experiences are anything like mine and most others, you will gladly drive four plus house to spend a day at Battery Oaks.
I'm sure it would be a great experience. But as a couple of members from your area have seen from the Canadian site. I had a severe leg injury and it swells horribly on long trips. But with the cooler weather it may just be doable.
I was home for the last week of Apr and first week of May. In there had to insulate and panel my workshop, deal with my 4th grandkid being born (first I was home for ) and then get attacked by the other three grandkids.
What's the time/distance that makes it a long trip?
From pilot mountain.
Guess I should rephrase. At what point time/distance does a trip go from short to long for you? Can you make it 90 minutes before your leg gives you issues? 2 hours? Etc.
I might have a solution, just waiting on an answer.
I'm ok for a couple of hours.
Good to know.
(The answer I'm waiting on is from somebody else, not your answer above...thought that might've been unclear. I'll let you know something via PM as soon as I can.)
What kind of recovery time do you need?
Depends on how bad it swells. I can get it elevated for an hour or so then travel on. If i do go I'll just plan on getting a room somewhere.
Just do it man, lol. I'm 3 1/2 hours away, and will be there. I've been to Billy's place, it will be well worth your time to make the trip.

Sorry man, there were a few post while I was typing, haha. I hope you can make it.

It's all good man. I'll try to make it.
Well, my dad is out.
I'm still working on a plan to make it, but it's up the air at the moment.
Hope you get better Lee. Come if you can.
As it gets closer to time, we'll be making some announcements. We'll include the address with directions and phone numbers so you can scope it out before you come. There is a Dollar General about one mile away so you can get those forgotten or last minute items. Conway, Myrtle Beach, and North Myrtle Beach are all just minutes away.
Also, we'll need to see what people plan to bring to help feed this gang. I know that a some have said that they are bringing grills and smokers. Our hosts have said that they will have chicken bog, ham bog, baked beans, and cole slaw. But, it's still early and we'll get a list of who will be bringing what later on.
Also later on, we will need to get a count of the ones that will be bringing campers/RVs so plans can be made as to where to park everyone. Remember, there are no hook ups. Tent and hammock campers will be no problem, plenty of room for y'all.
Daryl at @DesignMine will be making some shirts for the event and they will be made available so everyone will have them in plenty of time.
We are very excited about this meet and greet and are hoping for a big turn out. We are very fortunate to have such gracious hosts and a very nice facility. I'm very confident that all that do come will have a great time.
I should be good for cookies, brownies and such...once I have an idea of the count.
You bringin' or eatin'?
I'll get back to you...
around the first of November.
For some strange reason, I just now saw this thread. I'm quite sure I can make it and maybe my wife as well. Sounds like a great time in the making. Looking forward to it.
Hope you can make it Dave.
Bring a change of pants.
Dave......You've been present and accounted for every day since we started CFF. You'll have to come up with something better than that.
And we will look forward to seeing you and the wife there in October sir. This is gonna be one to remember.
