DD Questions

I'm looking for more information pertaining to destructive devices. Specifically looking into propelled explosive ordinance and any information on vendors.

I would assume it is legal per the NFA, but haven't seen anything available commercially.

I’ve been trying to figure out the easiest/cheapest way to get into the DD world, just to say I owned one. I’ve yet to figure out the answer. I’ll be interested in seeing this discussion, but you also might want to check out NFATalk or even AR15’s DD section. There’s not nearly the same amount of info floating around as you’ll find for SBR/SBS/Silencer questions.

When it comes to that type of stuff, its easier to find a dealer of the item and then ask them the questions.

Isn’t the big issue financial? That is, each explosive projectile requires a tax stamp.

I'm not concerned with the additional $200 per piece of ordinance, that's going to be a drop in the bucket I suspect when it comes to the actual items themselves. Sure it'll be a hassle, but they'll be damn fun too. Another issue I see is locating a place to discharge one.

I've seen government costs on items, but I don't think that's going to be the commercial cost of each item. Rockets (M72 & AT4) appear to be about $1500-4000 per round. The housing to fire them are a little less.
