I have decided to get a can. I am looking hard at the Dead Air Wolf. I plan to shoot it on my PCC and go short after I get the can stamp in hand. Anyone have experience with this can?

Tag.
It's a subgun can so it's probably sealed and overbuilt. Subgun = mucho gas.
I would not want a 9mm sealed can for the type of shooting I do. Especially shooting coated cast boolits.
It's probably heavy as heck too.

I may be wrong on all of the above.

Not wrong on any of that.

Although, you can run it in short config and it's only 7.soemthing ounces. It's over 14oz in full size.

It's also 1.6" in diameter.

I've got a 9mm Liberty mystic that works really well on PC carbines, plus it will handle 556, 308, 7.62x39 etc.
Basically an overbuilt 9mm can.
It is gemtech pattern so lots of mount choices.

Lots of great options these days.

I think it's the perfect can for an MP5SD or other sub gun. As a do-all 9mm can, I'm not so sure.

I'd take a look at the AAC Ti-rant 9M, griffin revolution 9 (I have the older version that is stuck in its short config and they have sucked about admitting it's a design flaw... I'll wait for the GA defenders to swoop in, but it sounds very good in its K-configuration IMO), or the octane 9.

SilencerCo Octane 9 is an excellent choice.

Scott, I don't blame you at all for this, but I purchased my Octane 9 from you, and it has been one of the worst suppressors I've owned. On my glocks with subsonic 147 or 158gr it is not hearing safe because the port pop is extremely loud, leaving your ears ringing. I can remove the octane and throw an osprey 9 on and with the same ammo it's completely hearing safe.

On my MP5K-N which has a B&T navy barrel (so 100% HK spec 3 lug), the original Silencerco 3 lug mount I received was extremely loose, and caused an end cap strike. The replacement they sent me was no better, resulting in another end cap strike. Meanwhile my friend's old SWR 9mm can works perfectly on my 3 lug in full-auto.

The Octane is long and has a lot of back pressure. I do not recommend it.

Interesting. You are the first customer that we have heard back from with negative feedback on the Octane.
We always have gotten positive feedback about SilencerCo's Octane suppressors.
Sorry to hear that you are not happy with it.

It's been back to SilencerCo and returned without any change. Their customer service replaced my barrel and booster, and recommended I switch to an aftermarket guide rod and heavier recoil spring to delay unlocking. Unfortunately it didn't make a difference. I now only use it as a direct thread can on my mp5k-n.

I like both of my Octanes and all three of my Ospreys.

But, I also always wear plugs when shooting suppressed.

If I was to buy another, it would be an Obsidian or Ghost. Obsidian would have a slight advantage because I could use all my SiCo adapters.
