Destroying a classic, Remington Sportsman 48 tactical.

The 870 is a tool. The 48 is fun.

For the past decade I had been transitioning purty wood n blue out of the safe for tools. As I couldn’t stand the thought of hurting them. The last couple years, I’ve come to my senses and reverted back. For a blued n wood tool, it’s honest wear and tear is what makes it beautiful:D

Man, this thing is so dang cool. Thanks for sharing project.

It reminds me of the old Police wingmasters. Classic but still bada$$.

I am bored. So I am going to order a bead and install it.
I am trying to decide between a regular brass bead and a small fiber optic bead like the one below. What do you guys think. The brass would match the gun better. I am also wondering if the fiber would be long enough to gather any real light? Looking for advice/experiences...

Please don't rule out a Bold Ivory Ball front sight.;)

Late back to this party and I love the transformation on the firearm. From the pics. you did not need the stock bearing plate. I am really impressed with how this project came out and all the custom touches you added. Amazes me what people on the forum are capable of!
