Did You Go Shooting Today

Went back to the 1911 today. After weeks of m&p's it took only about 4 five round mag's to get back to that incredible 45 go bang. For me there is nothing like the 1911 groove. I finally like the stricker's, but there is nothing like the 1911's. Just me, but I have been shooting them for 57 years and It still does not get any better.

Wayne Smith (Cold Mountain to some) range. Had to drive through a triathlon to get there! (When asked if we hit any of 'em, my buddy replied: "They looked like they were suffering enough." :))

Glock 26, Ruger LC9s, AR & sighted in Vortex; realized I can't see s%$t anymore w/o magnification, and some 10/22 action to top it off.

BEAUTIFUL day for it! Mid-70's, breeze, happy folks all around.

Went to The Range in Oxford yesterday to shoot the Zombie match with a few other denizens of this group. I moved over from shooting Heavy Metal class with my old Springfield .45 and went with my S&W M&P Pro in 9mm in the 15 rd class. I was shooting a 147 gr lead FP over 3.6 gr of HP-38 and everything functioned flawlessly (especially after I case gauged everything, thanks E!). It was a beautiful day spent with good buddies at a kick ass, super fun match and I shot above my goal. ALL WINS!

Went to the gun store in Wagram today and got a little sensory overload looking at all the firearms. I managed to get out without buying any Parkers or Winchesters, but someone with me bought two guns. We stopped by the farm on the way home to let him shoot his new 3-screw Ruger Single Six (without the warning roll mark) at a box. What a nice 22 revolver it is!

Put 100 rounds through my carry gun, s&w shield 9mm and sighted my 22/45 steel gun back in.... Dang red dot lost zero! Grrrr.

I put a few hundred rounds through the MP5 up at The Range in Oxford today. Met several other CFF members and had a grand time.

I really had hoped to view you doing that, but was on another squad. Looked like a grand time was had all around.

It was good to meet you while we were waiting for the shooting to start. I had a good time, and I think that Kelly did great with his "Sanford MP5" too!

Hit TSA yesterday with the wife. She is still a new shooter, but she likes my M&p9c more than her Glock. Got trades set, can't have her not feeling comfortable with her own gun.

Apexed M&p9c shot great. She is getting that, I'm buying the Apexed full size as the replacement for her Glock.

Went to TSA today, put 50 rounds .40 S&W in my Glock 22 factory refurbished from Bud's.
I like the standard sights, trigger very nice.

Went yesterday and shot my main carry G19, Beretta tomcat, and my little dp9. My preacher went with me because he is wanting something small for pocket carry. He loved the dp9 so it went home with him :) at first he wouldn't take it but I told him " every Shepherd needs a way to defend his flock". He was very happy and I'm happy I could help a great man out.

bout a year ago his house broken into and they stole his 2 pistols ( a 38 special and a star 9mm). He is taking his CC class next weekend.

Hit the steel in the pistol bay ar Frontline Defense last Thursday with my Beretta Nano and M&P 9mm, before heading to Orlando for three days.
Also hit steel on the rifle side with my M&P 15x and Beretta ARX100.

I've got an Axis .308 that I have not shown any love for in years. Need to get it out and shoot it some.
It's the only bolt action rifle I own. With good handloads, I can put 5 rounds inside a halfdollar at 100 yards. That's pretty good for a budget bolt and factory glass.

At TSA today with my Ruger SR1911 LW Commander, factory blem from CDNN,
shot it last week and finished off another 25 rounds today, I like this pistol a lot.

It's a fact: Romano Cheese is a leading cause of BGD (Burt Gummer Disease), aka MPS (Multiple Post Syndrome).

I've never shot my steel with a 12 ga. How far back are you?

I've got a bunch of 00 and I've been afraid to shoot it at my steel.

Went to the local indoor range here in Fay. First picked up a Glock 27, have the 23. Shot the Glocks and my new 1911 as well. Got to knock of the cob webs off the old shooting skills, after the first few mags I got back to where I needed to be.
