Did You Go Shooting Today

No, I did not go shooting today. I live out here in Harnett County. I heard lots of other people shooting today. It made me feel sad to hear other people shooting while I was working from home.:(
Awww, I feel your pain, as I have a range within 1.5 miles of my house, and am on a waiting list for membership. I hear the gunfire all day every day, and it makes me sad too, as I have to haul myself to Fayetteville thru the vile traffic, three times a week, to shoot. You can join me any time if you want to shoot, as I do have a membership at Jim's Indoor Range on Yadkin Rd. Lol. It might make you feel better, I know I feel pretty good after a little shooting!
But surely even Harnett County has a range for you??

Thanks for the sympathy Millie! No worries though. I'm a member of the San-Lee Gun Club down in Sanford It's about thirty minutes away. Today was one of those days where I was too busy workingto get away and I heard some of the local shooters (land owners) popping off a few rounds. I'll catch up this coming weekend. ;)

Well, I'm glad you have a shorter trip to shoot than I do, at least....hope you can get out there very soon!

plan on going shooting tomorrow with the daughter (Spring break) home from college this week I belong to 2 different ranges 1 is 1 hour and 20 min south (better for handgun/rifle) the other is 1 hour and 35 min North (much better for skeet and trap)

Had two guns to test fire yesterday. Just built a new 10.3" AR upper and fired 100rds thru it without issues. Then mounted a Aimpoint T1 and need to zero it next. Then fired 75 rds flawlessly thru a 1951 Russian RPD. Need to locate some more 25/50 round belts. Got off the range before it started raining and snowing again.

People do tend to have a grand old time when they're with you, don't they?
Thanks Millie, I wish I could share our wonderful place with more folks. Fred and I were talking at supper last night about that. This place feels like it actually comes alive when there are people and gunsmoke in the air. The more the better.

Shot a couple of mags thru old reliable now with nuclear front sight and short trigger.

Wow, what a difference, likey.

Sold a 92a1 a year or so ago because I couldn’t shoot it worth a lick.
Got another one yesterday and put 120 rounds thru it today.

10 rounds standing at 20 yards.

Also put 50 thru the utc. Total is 7759 rounds now.

I did shoot today. 5 boxes of 9mm with a couple of non-extracting issues. My shooting was very good today! The coach was very happy! (Pics will be posted in another thread.)

Tony had a go with Billy's .45, and of course did perfectly, as usual, even with the sights set for my weirdo eyes....so annoying of him!! LOL.

A box and a smidge today. Then spent hours cleaning the 66-1.

Wifey is gonna hate me, but I function tested her newest ones before she's had a chance to shoot them lol
Only two mags apiece, but they both shot pretty good...slight nod to the vp9sk over the pps.

I had a few of my babies with me, too. One is new to me, three I recently installed various internal parts in, and Miss Shadow so I could still shoot if everything else broke lol

I could’a saved you all that ammo, if you’d just asked. ;)

Set up a few targets and shot from behind a buddy Jeep using it as cover practicing reloads and such. After a few runs he got a little close to the hood and had a height over bore incidend. Ended up with round skipping off the hood and a few chips of paint flying up in the air. Funny thing was right before I told him I needed to switch to a plastic mag because I scratched his hood a little. He said, “ahh it’s ok, it’ll give it a little character”. Round didn’t go through the hood and it’s a older jeep he takes down in the woods so everything was alright.

No, we weren't shooting the stumps. Woodpeckers are causing mayhem at Battery Oaks.

What should I take to choot at Battery Oaks on Friday... hmmm... mebbe a Smith Model 58 with 8 3/8" barrel. Yeah, that's what I'll take.
If you had one or more handguns with scopes, I believe Billy’s range will allow you to get out to a good distance.

The Redhawk is in the shop, won't be back for a while.

The 41 mag Blackhawk is gonna give it's scope to the S&W 58, and the Weigand rail for the Smith might be here before Thursday.

That's what I want to take... the 8 3/8" Model 58 with a Leupold 4x scope on it, to be sighted in.
