Did You Go Shooting Today

Thought I was going to have the range to myself this morning but there was a team training there so only go to fire one mag out of the G17 full auto. Cyclic rate was slower than I expected. Got 3-4 bursts out of the 18 rounds in the gun. Shame that governments put the restrictions on it own civilians instead of letting people be responsible for their own actions.

G18?

Old Bear from the Forum is here. Just had some hotdogs. Now headed to the range. Wish all you shooters were here!!!!!!!! He'll be here til Friday if any of you in the area want to come meet and shoot with the Old Bear.

How many hot dogs did he bring? Enough to last 'til Friday? ;)

TSA in Raleigh, ran 100 rounds total 9mm in the Beretta 92fs compact, S&W M&P, 5906 and Glock 22 (9mm barrel).
When I'm at Frontline Defense I have the place to myself most of the time, nobody knows how bad I shoot.;)

You SERIOUSLY underestimate this crowd lmao

Please tell me they, at least, cleaned up behind themselves.
Well as a matter of fact they did! Painted steel was all to do but they did. Several days later the gentleman called back. He was very nice and asked if he could perhaps return and meet the regulars.
As to the regulars, the last two pulled out an hour or so ago. One man. our faithful attorney and friend was the only one willing to breech the heat and humidity. The rest just hovered around in the gun room waiting for The RS to deliver their Sunday treat. Still, a wonderful day with shooters, even if today it was only BS that got shot.

Sometimes BS is the best shooting :)

No shooting for me. Was up at 4:30 am, out the door by 5 and arrived in Wilmington by 7. Both daughters played in a volleyball tourney down there so I got to sit on some wood benches and cheap barstools all day in the heat. Got home about 7 and a few drinks before I crash from a long day. Had some leftover pizza for dinner. Guess the good news is this may have been the last tourney ever for the eldest. That will cut down on the long days and long weekends.

I went to a local indoor range, and I worked on shooting with my non-dominant hand as my dominant hand (two handed and some one handed). I was a bit slower, but close to being as accurate as I am with my dominant hand in control. Reloads and handgun manipulation felt comfortable to pretty much the same degree.

yesterday, around 8pm when it was still hot af, my son and I shot some 22 shorts from my H&R 949 at my backyard steel. After sweat started running the long route to my lowest hanging fruits, I gave up and went back inside.
Too D@MN HOT

Went to PBR in Mooresville this morning and fired 350 rounds of CCI Mini Mags out of my S & W 22C.

On the Battery Oaks Range with Catfish of the CFF. 92 degrees same humidity. Mr. Catfish is indeed a good man with a handgun. We both shot The Wizard COLD...Neither of us passed. I had a head shot slightly low and he had an over the time limit shot. In all my shooting years I have never seen a more telling drill than The Wizard. Nor a better 5 shot drill. Charles is spending the night in The Bunk House. He and YOU are welcome to come and use the range when in the area. We shot steel from 1 to 10+ yards. Big Fun. See you all at the October gathering!!!

I was out today for a while, starting around 2. I've found I enjoy shooting in the heat. The sweat pouring into my eyes gives me the perfect excuse. :D
HEY!!! Imma use that!

This is where some turd licker comes along and says....looks like you slipped one out there! Good shooting for the circles I run in.

Turd lickers will have to look elsewhere, cause I was tickled s**tless. LOL. And that was from a budget build AR.

Clint Smith coined that term and described it....ya standing there dropping every round in the 10 and X a say...What a beautiful day...Turd licker pipes up...Yeah supposed to RAIN later. They're everywhere. Honestly when folks here are shooting, it sounds like they're at a party. My folks will be thin today because of the heat, but they'll be inside the gun room eating RS's ice cream and pie. If you can surround yourself with folks who want to see you do better, no matter what you're shooting, everybody shoots better. Budget AR or not, damn good group, AND if you can deliver that on demand, you'll be a star here.

Today, I plan on running a few rounds through an AR pistol just to see if Captain Jerry's ammo will function reliably. I expect no problems. But, this in no way will interfere with the pie and ice cream.

Hell yeah, yesterday too

I learned teh game of Skeet yesterday...and I suck at it.
Not as easy, for me, as trap shooting.

Shot yesterday for a couple of hours and sweat all over everything. I love my 1911's, but I warmed up the G43 for Saturday's BUG match and I swear that thing has magical powers.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

At 9 am this morning, you'll notice the snarky comments from Jeppo cease for a while. No @BatteryOaksBilly, Jeppo won't be napping. He'll be test driving his new to him CS9. :D

I'm with you...I don't have anything that I shoot better inside 10 yards than my 43s.
The Talo edition I bought with the Ameriglo front night sight (orange surround) and the U-notch black rear sight is just the bomb for that little gun. I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm thinking of buying a second one identical to it because it just works so well. And came with a better trigger than the G19 I bought about the same time, but I don't think Talo had anything to do with that.
