Came back to complain that this post caused me to spend several hours in my unheated garage inspecting / lubricating two of my three SDB presses - Damn glad I did.
I've owned SDB's for decades and consider myself fairly knowledgable on their operation & care. I have lubed various points over the years with oil or light grease but never to the degree that was illustrated in these videos. The pivot pin is now much happier as are the link arms. I had a couple spare friction plates so I installed them also. The odd thing about these videos is they never specify exactly what grease Gary is using, I used some Geissele ALG Go-Juice.
I need to order a few more parts and then its off to overhaul the 9mm SDB next.
Again thanks for the link OP as I had not seen these mentioned on any forum and I sure learned a few things by watching them.
