So I took the plunge and got a 650. If I'm not using the powder check in station 3, what can I do there instead?

nutin'...I guess you could seat the bullet there and then crimp at the next station and then do nothing at the last station.

>You could get a bullet feeder and really crank out some ammo, just pull the handle and keep the primers topped off.
> There is the RCBS lockout die, does the same thing as a powder check die but is probably less expensive, if that has anything to do with why you aren't going with the powder check.
> If you load lead or coated lead bullets I would highly recommend a lyman M die to properly expand the case before you seat a bullet, then you wouldn't have to use the powder drop as a case expander.
> As Amp said, extra light is always a good thing on a press.

Currently I have:
1- deprime, resize
2- powder
3- empty
4- bullet feeder
5- seat and crimp

Some people split seating and crimping and shift the bullet feeder to #3.

At one time, I ran a powder check but I haven’t for several years because it simply isn’t necessary. Now, the empty station remains empty unless I’m reloading 300 Blackout and in that case, I use the space for an expander die.
