Let me relate today’s little SNAFU as I didn’t see this one coming...
I decided to load a few 308 Win with a sample of Varget powder I have taking up shelf space. So I get out my gear and line up my components. I set up the Uniflow measure and filled the hopper with Varget. I dropped a charge and went to check it on the scale and... WTF is this, that’s not Varget?!
Turns out I had failed to completely empty the hopper last time I used it. There were about 150 grains of a fine ball powder down in there where I could not see it... not sure what. Imagine what might have happened if I had chosen a powder with a more similar appearance?
Lesson learned - check everything and check it again!
