-Dixie Show - Raleigh

Super random, any belt feds and/or parts kits? I tried to carve out time today but I'm also knee deep in a bathroom remodel
 
Missed not seeing @cubrock but did run into a few folks like @opaul . I picked up a Savage 22 mag in stainless for a great price from Kendale Pawn and my son got a really nice Spainish 12g SxS from a private seller.The shotgun was in almost pristine condition
 
I bought a couple cigars.... Ammo is not stupid but I can buy cheaper from my LGS. A lot of black plastic, over priced military rifles. It was crowded. We got there about 10:15 and there was a line under the breezeway to the next building but the line moved pretty quickly. The usual Dixie show.

The people, WOW. We saw some things that were quite interesting.... Of course I love over hearing the crazy conversations.

Saw @cubrock but he was busy like he always is when I see him so I didn't bother him again at this show either.
 
I need to meet y’all so I know when I see you. I saw lots more lever guns than usual. Lots more young people who smelled of weed too. I bought a meat cleaver and a silly pocket knife that looks like a F4U Corsair to keep in my car bag.

That is what I am hoping. I’m planning on going in the morning. Don’t really have anything I am dying to buy, but if I see something interesting at a decent price I may walk away with something.

There was a man selling leather belts on the right side wall. It was one of the first tables against the wall. Does anyone have his contact information?
 
This was my first NC show since moving to RDU. I was quite impressed with the variety and even one or two prices. It was reminiscent of shows we used to have in the Pacific NW before the politicians went full retard.

Are there other worthwhile shows that come to the area?

It is nice to be back in the US again.

December 16-17 is another show, although it is the smaller C&E show.

The Dixie shows are the large ones, the next Dixie show is in January.

There are about 4 of each show (8 total) per year.

When I went yesterday (Sunday) at about 12:30, there was no line to the ticket counters, it took no more than 5 minutes for me to get in. In talking with a couple of vendors, they said Saturday was much busier

I've never taken a gun into the show, but I may try taking one next time so I can get a custom Kydex holster made for one of my pistols. I have noticed that when the ticket line is really long, the gun entrance is never that busy.
 
Got to the show about 945 Saturday morning. Probably at least 100 people in line.
I always bring my NAA revolver , so walk up to gate 4. Nobody in ticket line and only 3 people in security check line. Easy as pumpkin pie.

Nice meeting and chatting with you @Hoss . Unfortunately the 870 came home with me.
Maybe I'll be able to sell it this summer when the pre-election riots , crime wave , immigration and Israel/Hammas boon doggie all hit their peak. May even be worth a little more by then.
 
At least I didn't have to watch a single mom with a daughter and 12 yr old son drop over $500 on a black tactical shotgun she could have bought on gun deals for a lot less 🙁
