I was poking around for an annealer machine since me, a torch and a drill ought not interact on the regular.

First I looked at the Giraud.....minimum $500! A couple others in the $3-400 range. Screw that. Then I looked at the Annealeez @ $275...better, but come on, these things aren't rocket science.

So...has anyone done the DIY annealer machines such as...

Let me know what you've done and how the project went.

Pros? Cons? Any reason NOT to do a DIY for something that could burn down the house?

Just add a repeating timer that beeps, find them on ebay.

I'm all for DIY whenever possible, but I spent the $300 on the Anealeez and never looked back. I did replace the torch holder though with an articulated camera arm for $15.

That is... brilliant! I sold my Giraud a few years back, replaced with the unfortunately named AnnealEez and absolutely hated the torch adjustment. It's almost useless for multiple calibers in its default form. Great fix right there!

Have a friend that bought the Anealeez and I thought the torch attachment was terrible. Love the camera mount!

So...I woke up this morning with an email saying, "Thank you for your Order" from Annealeez....apparently I placed an order sometime around 3am this morning. Insomnia is expensive.
