I bought four 4500 lb bags of nice fill dirt. I put down one last week and 1-1/2 today and have 1-1/2 to go.

14 years of water coming off the house finally took it's toll and the yard was showing signs of exposed backfill.

This stuff has some nice small sized gravel in it which once seeded, should hold up nicely.

Not blowing sunshine up my own arse by posting this. I just wanted to show the results in case someone wants to fix an erosion problem in their yard.

A landscaping company wanted to bring in a Bobcat with a shovel attachment and take up my entire yard and replant all of the grass.

I decided it wasn't worth it and the yard didn't need all of that. This worked out much better than I anticipated.

About 18,000 lbs of fill dirt with a lot of small to medium size gravel mixed in. Easy to put down by yourself with a telehandler.

There's still a little wheat straw showing in that one area because I put it down heavy there because that was the worst section where the erosion was pretty bad. There's lots of new grass coming in underneath.

That looks great! About how many cubic yards were one of those bags? What was the cost of each bag if you don’t mind sharing. PM if you don’t want to post publicly and don’t mind sharing. I need about 10 cubic yards myself. Debating on getting the bags or a dump truck load.

I got them at Marshall Stone in off I-40 at Sandy Ridge Rd in Colfax. I'll look up how much I paid for each bag and get back to you. I do know that it is less expensive if you go with a dump truck load. These bags aren't cheap. But for me, it's much more convenient and easier to get the dirt in bags so I can put it down exactly where I want the dirt to go instead of having a huge pile of dirt sitting there and I have to tear up the yard to move it.

I'll get back to you.

This year, they sent me the deluxe model. Fully enclosed cab complete with windshield wipers for the front and top glass, heat, and air conditioning. Lol.

Got some more dirt to put down.

I swear, if Jeannie popped out of her bottle and told me I could choose between a multi-million dollar supercar or one of these things, I’d choose this machine all day long every day. Lol.
