Ive used the hand tools to try and cut out crimps, takes too long, wrist/hand start hurting after a while and I seem to usually not remove enough material and its still hard to prime the cases.

I like the dillon 600 the best so far, seems more convenient than the rcbs bench mounted one but it's pricey.

Any more ideas on getting crimps out, or will just spending the $100 on the dillon 600 make life much easier?

I bought the RCBS crimp remover bit a long time ago and have used it quite a bit. Most of that usage was on the RCBS case prep center, but that turns too slowly to really be effective. It works much faster when I chuck the bit in a power drill, which spins the bit much faster.

I decided to try the CH4D crimp swager. IMHO, it did not work that well, and if it was not adjusted correctly it would mangle the rim on the brass.

It is hardly possible to read a thread about removing crimps without getting multiple recommendations to buy the Dillon. I finally broke down and bought one. I must say, it works quite well and is MUCH easier on the fingers/hands. I've only tested a couple dozen case with it so far, but on every case I was able to easily prime the brass without a hitch. I'm sold.

I figured so about the dillon. They make great products, as does RCBS, and Im a huge fan of the green... but the swinging motion of the handle on theirs, I dont like.

I guess ill get the dillon at some point here soon. I have about 750 pieces of brass that need the crimps removed.
