My knowledge of NFA stuff is limited to what I can write on a matchbook cover with a magic marker. I'm talking about with the tax stamp etc. not something illegal.

I'm sure someone has, but the cost of a good .22 suppressor is relatively low already, so after the hassle of getting a stamp I don't see many folks seeing a used sale to be worth it.

Just curious, what does a used .22 can go for?

Depends on the model. Most of the time I sell them at cost or a bit less depending on how used it is.

Unfortunately, the cost of a tax stamp pretty much kills most of the NFA resale market, sans FA of course. .22lr suppressors are the worst of it. Take a $300 .22 can, add your tax stamp and xfer fee and you're in it for $550. You can't sell it for more than $200 which comes out to a $450 cost for your buyer. Personally it's not worth a $100 savings to buy used. This of course assumes it's an instate transaction.

If it's sold from an individual, in state, there's no transfer fee, the tax stamp takes care of that.
I sold 2 cans & consulted with my SOT# dealer and the ATF .
The part you quoted refers to buying the can new. Typically it's ordered out of state. Even if you buy in state you're paying tax, so tax or transfer, either way is an added expense.
