My daughter wants to know if any of you know anything about working with biothane? She's seen harnesses and leashes done with this and was wanting to find out if any of you ever worked with it, you know putting it together.

I haven't used it, but it sounds interesting, being a coated fiber product... it also sounds expensive. The advantage is that the fibers are coated before weaving, so each fiber is tougher and smoother... and the resulting woven product is also tougher and smoother. It should be very chafe resistant, like HMWPU (Amsteel), and very strong. They tout it as cleanable, and that is important for many applications. Synthetics are notorious for retaining smells.

I think that the stuff that a guy who did leashes for us used. He did leather and a shiny, slick web material. He was using if for the police dogs collar and leashes because it was reflective.
