Does HK have any presence in practical shooting?

I always tell people looking to buy handgun...you want to see what works? Go to a big USPSA match. Shot it for 20 years. Rarely if ever saw a Sig. One guy used to shoot an HK squeeze cocker. Theres a reason they dont make them anymore.

I'm aware of a guy in Florida, Adam Petrulis, that had some level of sponsorship with HK. He use to post in the HK section on the brianenos forum. He is also fairly active on Instagram and posted as of March is no longer with HK. He is LEO and said his department switched to Glock, and he felt it prudent to leave the HK platform and concentrate 100% on the same platform he carries for work.

So what were some of the more common ones? Other than Glock, of course. ;)

I follow a couple of their sponsored shooters on Instagram but I'm not aware of any that would be considered professional competitors.

M&P, Walther, Glock, Springfield, CZ, Tanfoglio, FN (but barely because there is no aftermarket parts avail & Ive only seen 2 people in the last 4 years shooting them), STI, Para Ordinance. From custom guns, there is: CZ Custom, CK Arms, Atlas, Akai, etc.

You also see 1911 guns from Colt, Caspian,Springfield, etc.

I've seen quite a few of their vp9's at matches.

Never seen any other ones though. And I've seen quite a few Sig p320's.

Funny it's the plastic strikers being used and both companies are known for their spendy metal hammer guns!
Seen a few metal sigs and a few berettas.

I use to shoot my hk45c in idpa and in uspsa. It worked fine but after shooting a cz sp01 there was no going back to the long, heavy trigger pull of the hk. I still carry that gun most days though. I have seen a few vp9's at several matches.
