these Japanese mods are really out there.

quote:
New Zealand drift racer Mike Whiddett recently travelled to Japan to explore Tokyo’s “extraordinary after-dark modified auto scene”. He found people making California-style lowriders, Dekotora (my favorite, if only for the sheer spectacle), illegally modified cars, and a man who says with a straight face that “driving an unmodified Lamborghini is boring”.

That is why we have Underground Racing in CLT! Although a little more subtle. ;)

Bless their hearts... they must have bumped their heads.

I guess if you're Japanese, you really have to fight to stand out.

It took me years to figure out why I kept seeing lambos on 77 with no rear bumper. Then I finally realized the UR is in CLT and they run up and down 77 to test the TT kits.

I find it all cool and interesting. I love just about anything Japanese. Especially their bikes and guitars.

Those little K trucks are neat.

Reminded me of this video I saw a bit back, again some of the modded Lambo scene, but also just showing a culture of Japan that isnt seen too often by us Westerners

And, yes, those Ktrucks are awesome.
