I found the 3/8" AR500 targets online for $60. and about an hour
of work, now have this. If it works well, I'm going to order the
1/8" plates for 22RF. $38. I think for the 22. I welded the upright to
3" pipe, and it's held in place with pipe clamps. That way I can adjust
the angle as needed.

Not much to show, but you just lean the upright forward so when the target goes past center
when it is hit, and gravity brings it to the other side. The targets are just hanging in a piece of
tubing that is welded to the back side of the 1/4" x 1 1/2" angle.
And it works fine with standard velocity 22rf also. I just put the upright
more vertical.;)

Nice job Steve

Wow, that's awesome man!

Looks to me like the upright channel is welded to a tube that lets you vary the pitch...right?

@BASIL Nice job! You got some skills!

That is a neat design! Looks like I have another project ahead when I finally get off work...

Nice. I need to learn to weld.

Think you could have cut the tops of the tubes at an angle and leave the upright vertical, or do you need to adjust depending upon caliber?

@BASIL
I’ve always thought those trees are extremely cool. My only concern has always been about the need to keep the tubes fairly vertical (so the plates’ll swing) vs the need to keep them angled down for safety. My hanging/swinging plates are angled down significantly but, anyway, two people got hit with something the other day.
