Look closely and you can see some sun spots. I posted two other pictures in a different thread before I saw this thread.
I remember that eclipse. We made viewer boxes. I don’t recall seeing a thing. In '78 ish I was in the 4th grade and living just outside of Lansing. There was a solar eclipse and I'd made a box with the same principal, but you put your head in the box for a better view in darkness. I took it to school so I could go outside and watch the eclipse. The teacher and principal thought I'd done a great job, deemed it safe, but wouldn't let me use it because I *might* look up at the sun.
Did it damage anything on your phones camera?
No. Why would it.Did it damage anything on your phones camera?
Nice images of the coronal mass ejections. We are here in Texas, about an hour from the boarder. Mostly cloudy but we got a few great peeks during totality. I filmed video of totality that I'm working on converting to a time lapse. Dad was able to get some good still shots...

We just viewed it with the cheap glasses. I kept saying there was a speck of light at the 5:30 position. Your pics confirmed it was a view of a coronal mass ejection. Thank you.Dad was able to get some good still shots...
There was another at 3-o’clock that I saw with my naked eye. Pics show it, too.We just viewed it with the cheap glasses. I kept saying there was a speck of light at the 5:30 position. Your pics confirmed it was a view of a coronal mass ejection. Thank you.
